Evening primrose oil is a natural source of GLA (gamma linoliec acid) is exceptionally high in Gamma-Linolenic Acid or GLA, an Omega 6 fatty acid with an essential role in the body for the production of certain hormones (prostaglandins), which regulate many body functions such as blood pressure and the reproductive cycle.

Evening primrose oil is extracted from the evening primrose plant (oenothera biennis), a wildflower found in North America, Europe and parts of Asia. We believe evening primrose oil will help maintain the bodies’ natural hormone balance, promote healthy skin and help keep joints supple.

Our Evening Primrose Oil products are rigorously tested to ensure that the GLA level is consistent and that the amount we claim on the labels is the minimum amount present in the capsule.

In our experience, Evening Primrose Oils are certainly not all the same quality and some of the lowest priced oils offer the poorest value because of disappointing GLA levels.
